Sufficiency

My sufficiency comes from You, Jesus. I don't boast of having (or being) anything in of myself. All that I am is because of You. All that I do is because of You. It is in You that I live, move, and have my being. Even the seemingly minor things I do come from You.

I often reflect on my life and see how gifted You have made me. I do hair, write, cook, clean, create and edit videos, preach, piece my clothes together well, and so much more. And it's all because of You, Abba.

Paul says it so beautifully in 2 Corinthians 3:5-6: "It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life."

If I ever veer away from this truth, would You ever so gently draw me back Lord?
